Welcome to AlbanyPHP! It has been a long struggle trying to decide on a platform and yet wrestling to continually delete and handle spam on the previous phpBB site; but it's finally here!

This fresh face of AlbanyPHP is built atop Elgg, an OpenSource and highly scalable socialization app. Inside You'll find three main components:

• A digital repository, of your items, which can be private or shared within communities
• A weblog, which will be able to link to your items in the aforementioned repository
• A social networking environment, allowing you to create a variety of communities/groups

I hope that AlbanyPHP will be a fun, useful tool which will be leveraged by Capital Region PHPers to better their knowledge of PHP and one another.
